Éramos Tantos | Design

ÉRAMOS TANTOS is an audiovisual and graphic design studio established in Mexico City by Manuel and Christian Cañibe. Since 1995 their work is characterized by a style influenced from an aesthetics of the past, finding in the concept of nostalgia, their tool of expression. The studio has developed itself mostly in projects for institutions and companies in the communications and cultural spheres, such as the Mexican Institute of Cinematography (IMCINE) , Foto Museo Cuatro Caminos, Oceano Editorial and Los Cabos International Film Festival. Some of the work has been exhibited in collective shows such as Forum LAUS in Barcelona in 2003 and El Futbol (también) es así – [ Soccer (is also) like this], which itinerated in venues of the Cervantes Institute in Brasil during the celebration of the World Cup in 2014. The studio’s work has also been featured in several national and international publications such as Étapes Graphiques (France), Communication Arts (US) and the books Latin American Graphic Design (Taschen, Germany) and Historia del diseño gráfico en México, 1910-2010. (Conaculta-INBA, Mexico). At this moment the studio is developing an exhibition about the history of Mexican soccer in the Museo del Objeto del objeto (MODO) in Mexico City.
